Very poor. Great self praise, NO explanations of his levitations, dissapearance, etc. Only self praise & 40 cheap coin & card tricks found in any book on magic. The title is misleading & gives no real "revealing" of how walking on water, etc is done. Big dissapointment.

Cool book with bad language and boastful magician

I have some mixed feelings about this book. First off, for anyone interested in magic and Criss Angel, I would highly recommend this fascinating book. Autobiographical in nature, this is Angel's life uncut, uncensored and off the cuff. That being said, if you have a weak stomach or are easily offended, this book may not be for you. Angel can be a bit graphic with some of his effects and stunts, and the language he uses can be very course. Along with being a life story, this book has some great effects that can't be learned anywhere else, and I have read a lot of magic books. Angel is on top of his game no doubt, but at times he can come off as sounding prideful and arrogant. I guess I may be too if I were him, but his cockiness can get a little annoying. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clever book.

Pleasantly surprised

I used to be a huge fan of his until he went the way of the overhyped douchebag. I bought this book for two reasons: I still think he's hot, and tyhe book was bargain bin cheap. pretty awesome buy, I must say. The book was well written, informative, fun to read, and chock full of step by step illusions. Oh, and he's still pretty hot. I reccommend!

Great must-have book!

This book offers an incredible cerebral workout. The way it's structured is very simple and logical making it very smooth to go through. The first half is the melodic part which can be practiced on the piano by yourself or by two musicians who can switch parts to create the poly-rhythms. The second part is made only for percussive sounds, making it ideal to practice these great exercises virtually anywhere, and without an instrument; all you need something to tap on. Pedagogically, the book is sequenced in a way that starts off so simple, that by the time you're doing some really complicated stuff, you don't realize it, the flow of information is that straightforward. And if you feel uncertain about your execution of any of the exercises, you can always refer to the audio tracks included to make sure. I recommend this book to any musician out there who wishes to develop a stronger sense of time and an ear for poly-rhythms/poly-phonies. Can't wait to see Volume II out there!

This is absolutely a great Book which explain deeply the secret of polyrhythms in music. As a drummer I found this exercises the most accurate and helpful to master polyrhythms, the author have covered all the possibilities of the 2 vs 3 which is simply the most important combination that must be understood by not only drummers but all players in all styles especially Jazz and groove based music.
I have been working with countless rhythm books written by great players and so far I consider this book one of the best things that has been ever wrote to help musicians to understand how things basically works, from the most simple to the most complex combination which make it perfect for all levels, I highly recommend it for every serious musician.

It's a great book, but a bad service. "Included with the eBook are play-along tracks of all 56 patterns with stereo separation so you can "hear" each pattern and practice against any line you wish." -- it's clearly a lie. You have to buy downloads for another 5 dollars from the author's site. Well, shame on me, should be more careful.

UPD: Mr. Tarek has contacted me and we've discussed the issue with the tracks sold separately. Now the information is clearly stated, so I can highly recommend this product to buy and practice.

Black Widow is another fast moving and terrific novel from J Robert Kennedy. It involves most of the favorite characters with Dylan Kane, the Deltà Force and the CIA operatives that are all involved in a present day scenario that will have other readers not wanting to put the book down until the end which has twists and turns that keep the reader guessing what is next! Kudos to the author for another page tuner

Awesome...unbelievable that this fiction plot turns out to be what we are seening on CNN and FOX...it is real. Thanks Robert for the" wake up call" to get inside the minds and charcter of the ISIS...our real enemy may be us if we do not start taking these dudes for real! New York could have been Paris, and still may be. Robert, you are doing us the honor of showing what may happen, unless we begin to stand firm against this enemy. Look what happened in Mali a few days ago, and more will come...stand tall America! Former Peace Corps Volunteer, Anita Datar gave her life in Mali, the only American to die in this recent attack, there will be more!

A Scary Storyline that Could Easily Become Reality

I have read, and enjoyed, all of Mr. Kennedy's books in the James Acton, Delta Force and Dylan Kane series. I would have really enjoyed The Black Widow if it didn't point out so clearly how easy an attack on U.S. soil can be accomplished. It also describes those who would generate the attack as more intelligent and organized than most Americans would believe.and with a motivation that we can't understand. Certainly there are some fictional liberties taken to make the story flow but this book lays out a scenario that could be more reality than fiction. Something I think every American should read.

A good book but the English version has many errors.

I do agree with the previous reviews that the book is of great didactic value. Indeed, the books which offer an indepth knowledge on electromagnetism are very often so complicated that they put the student off (e.g. Jackson). Other books strive for simplicity and offer a didactic approach at the expense of thoroughness.
Greiner's book combines the two aims. It is very detailed and at the same time even the undergraduate student is able to understand it.
There is, however, one BIG problem. The book is fraught with errors. Being a junior lecturer at a Polish university I had to prepare a course on electrodynamics so I read the whole book paying attention to the details.
The first problem is the language. As a native speaker of Polish I am not an expert, but you do not have to be one to notice grammar or spelling mistakes. Also, some indices seem to have their origin in the German terms instead of English ones (e.g. the index a - ausserhalb - outside).
The derivations and formulae are another problem. Very often reading a formula you will be confused because a wrong letter has been used or a symbol is in the wrong place.
Referring is also a problem of this edition of the book. Very often the number of a formula to which a specific problem refers is wrong. You will have to find the right formula yourself (this is especially visible in Chapter 14).
I am really sorry to say this, but for the above reasons I would NOT RECOMMEND buying this book in its present form. Wait for the second edition (corrected I hope) and in the meantime use the German version or borrow the book from the library.

Probably the most didactic book on electrodynamics.

A very clear book on advanced electrodynamics. Close to the book by Jackson in some ways, but much more user friendly as far as mathematical methods and concepts are concerned. There is one problem: the gaussian units system. Unfortunately the depth of most of Greiner's books is not great. If you look for something at the professional level then go get Jackson or Landau.

More Careless Typos and Mistakes

I heartily concur with Piskorski's earlier review except I think he was a bit generous with the stars. It seems that this may be a problem with VERY POOR editing. I hope the publisher reads this. I gave a similar review of Greiner's Stat Mech book. I don't read German; so, I can't comment on the original books in this series, but the translations are extraordinarily sloppy.
There are numerous incorrect equation references. Typos in equations are abundant - often the incorrect symbol or letter appears. The grammar is sloppy - the translator should be ashamed. As far as references to other work, I didn't see any. A very serious omission in an academic text. However, there is a nice history of optics and E&M at the end of the book; maybe this compensates for the lack of references a bit.
The typos and mistakes make this book unacceptable for an undergraduate text. Instead I would highly recommend David Griffiths' "Introduction to Electrodynamics" - by far the class act for undergraduate E&M texts.
