About the Author
Rolf Schmid obtained his PhD in 1970. After post-doctoral studies in France and the USA, he joined the research laboratories of Henkel KGaA in Dsseldorf in 1972 where he became Director of the Biotechnology Laboratories. In 1987, he moved to the 'Gesellschaft fr Biotechnologische Forschung' (GBF) in Braunschweig where he headed the Division of Enzyme Technology and Natural Products Research.
In 1993, he accepted an invitation to build up the newly founded Institute for Technical Biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart. He is further in charge of the Department of Molecular Biotechnology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Membrane Science and Biotechnology in Stuttgart, and he is chairman of the IUPAC Commission of Biotechnology.
Vlada Urlacher is a young researcher and is the head of the Biocatalysis Group at the Institute for Technical Biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart.

Each technology is accompanied by easy to understand illustrations and a condensed version of the important numbers, concepts, and processes used in industrial applications. Great Book

I have read many books on Flying Star and find this one a very good one. I admit I am slightly biased towards Lillian Too, but I really enjoy her writing style and find her short divisions of information easy to digest and remember. This is consistent in her Feng Shui series of books. This book is a lot easier to read than her other book on the subject, Lillian Too's Flying Star Feng Shui for the Master Practitioner: The Ultimate Guide to Advanced Practice Feng Shui: Stage II (Lillian Too's Feng Shui in Small Doses), also sold here. It is also much deeper than her pocket sized Flying Star Feng Shui for Period 8, which might a good place to start if you just want to know what Flyng Star is about.

I would really recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn this area of Feng Shui. It is important to understand that it assumes working knowledge of compass Feng Shui. Indeed I am a biased Feng Shui fan of internationally renowned prolific Feng Shui author, Harvard MBA, Lillian Too.

Flying Star Feng Shui as a topic is not beginner, "Dummies," or "Idiots" Feng Shui. Flying Star is an advanced or intermediate level of Feng Shui. You want to read a number of Ms. Too's "168 Feng Shui Ways to..." books first to receive your first wash of Feng Shui. In Feng Shui, you want to become first comfortable with what is known as "Mansion School" Feng Shui whether you actively practice it or not. It will help you to build your Feng Shui building blocks. The Complete Illustrated Guide to Feng Shui: How to Apply the Secrets of Chinese Wisdom for Health, Wealth and Happiness
,Lillian Too's Feng Shui Essentials, Lillian Too's Basic Feng Shui: North American Edition.

Flying Star Feng Shui incorporates the dimension of TIME which makes it one layer more complicated.

The books continues Ms. Too's easy to digest graphical manner of presenting and teaching Feng Shui information in short digestible chucked tidbits, each of a page - a few pages. I find this so helpful for digesting, learning, and retaining Feng Shui information from Ms. Too.

There are some sections which the advanced beginner might find overwhelming on how to "cast" the "flying" pattern of the (Mountain and Water) Feng Shui "Stars." Don't worry and don't permit yourself to become bogged down there. The first time through of your reading it, allow the teaching of those patterns to wash over your brain. Maybe just scan it. You can practice that section more later. Ms. Too graciously includes it to teach you thoroughly about Flying Star Feng Shui. However, she does indeed remind us the readers that we can find the charts at her website. We don't have to become master level proficient at Flying Star movement patterns at the start.

The layout of the book is such that it is comprised of 162 "tips" some of which are shorter, some longer. Certainly the numbers and the importance of Mountain Stars and Water Stars are covered by Ms. Too. Additionally, she weaved in Symbolic Feng Shui as enhancements or to compensate for a Flying Star ailment within Feng Shui. A wonderful gift to your friends who love Feng Shui and who want to take it to the next level.

OVerall happy with this purchase.. there is a lot of information about flying star combinations, and Lillian too makes it easy to understand and explained questions which have been unanswered by a lot of other books I have bought. This is a must have!!!! Of course no book can cover everything.. but this book is about as close as it gets.

I recently purchased a Vespa 300 gst. I remembered the Vespas of years ago and wanted to know more about the history and details. This is a great book and gives a lot of details over the history of the Vespa.

Top Vespa Book

This book is more expensive than others of similar venue. But content wise it is hands down the book to own for the Vespa enthusiast. If you buy only one book buy this one. it covers the marque end to end and with facinating detail. Corporate history, personalities, competition, model evolution, advertising, marketing and technical it's all there. Vespa scooters define Italy. While the rest of the west may have found motorcycles more appealing to some extent, scooters capture the heart and sould of Italy. This book celebrates the Vespa and that soul. Vespas outside of Italy are cultish. Ride one and you'll understand why. They made sense in post WWII 1946 and with modern technology make sense today. The book is about the joy of Vespa. No other scooter on the planet has this kind of panache and image recognition. If for no other reason read it to learn how to advertise and market successfully, year after year.

The 'optimum' book about form in music!

This book is concise and comprehensive, going in depth to uncover the essence of the various musical forms. Every sentence is important, yet, it is easy to read and understand. Excellently analyzed musical examples for understanding the use of each form by the masters. You probably do not need to study another book about form in music! It says it "all" in its 181 small size pages!

Craig Roberts is a Vietnam US Marine veteran, who later served 27 years as a police officer. He also served in the military, both active and reserve, for 30 years, with 14 years working in an intelligence capacity. He is the author or co-author of 12 books, and is an investigative journalist.

Simply Outstanding!

Like the author, I am former military man who sensed something very ominous on my first visit to Dealey Plaza in Dallas. It felt to me like an ambush site. Indeed, this is exactly what is was, as vividly depicted in Craig Roberts' excellent book.
If you want to understand what really happened on this blackest day of American history, you simply must read this book. The chances are it will go quickly for you. I ordered the book through Amazon and found it on my door step on a Saturday evening. The following morning at 1:30am, I turned the final page of the narrative with the assurance that I finally understood what really happened on November 22, 1963 and, most importantly, why.
In particular, I was intrigued that the author was led to investigate the facts through his warrior instincts and that his investigation led far beyond the scope of what he originally thought to be an unsolved murder. The trail of this investigation leads beyond the Mafia, the CIA, the FBI, the US military, and all of the usual suspects right up to the small group of extraordinarily powerful men who truly control this world.
To Craig Roberts, Bravo Zulu! The good news is that, in the end, despite the sinister plotting of the terrible forces uncovered in this outstanding work, the good good guys will win and win huge!

Not What I Expected - Even Better

I bought this book expecting yet another perspective on the Kennedy assaination, that of a sniper. While I got some of that I got much more.
It begins with some sniper insight (the author was a military sniper) and proceeds on to the normal discrepancies with the Kennedy autopsy and the many unanswered questions we have heard in many books before. But amidst all this is some interesting insight that is offered by the author, gained through his military experience and his former job of working on airplanes, the same kind that Air Force One (at the time) was converted from - the Boeing 707. With this information and with information obtained from Carlos Hatchock (who wrote his own excellent book titled "Marine Sniper, 93 Confirmed Kills) he explains the impossibility of the lone gunman theory.
He explains in detail the many enemies that Kennedy made during his administration, The Mafia, The Military, The Cubans, The CIA, The Council on Foreign Relations, The FBI, Lyndon Johnson, the list sometimes seems endless.
The book does take off into unexpected territory by progressing to areas such as MACV in Vietnam, Harry Truman, the assination of Abraham Lincoln, James Monroe, John D. Rockefeller, JP Morgan, Howard Hughes, Watergate and much more. But it is all tied together in the end with the final assumption of who killed JFK - and it is very believable. Every conspiracy book on the subject presents itself in ways to be believed by the readers. But this book touches on one point and presents it in clear and concise way that none of the other books I have read can. It answers the question, "Who could pull off a conspiracy of this magnitude and have enough power and influence to cover it up for 40 years, even though every free thinking individual would know it was a consipiracy?" The answer is in this book! What an eye opener and a theory that bears more research.
I rate this book at 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I feel the title a bit misleading and people will buy it that do not want this type of research to smack them in the face. If that was intentional by the author I believe it was a stroke of genius to get his information across but yet a bit unfair to the unsuspecting purchaser.
Read this book, think on it, and be amazed!

Exposing what the U.S. Government hid from the public

If you want a comprehensive and thorough investigation of the JFK assassination and the real answers and players, this would be an excellent place to start. Craig Roberts has painstakingly spent hour upon hour researching his material and has government documentation (included in the book) to boot.
So much of what you read here was never researched by the Warren Commission, never revealed by the mass media, and covered up by the FBI and other governmental agencies to mislead the American public.
The original JFK investigation (Warren Commission, etc.) was, without a doubt, one of the most heinous, deplorable, and saddest travesties of justice ever forced on the American public. This book will show you why and open your eyes.
Not only does Craig Roberts investigate the assassination, later in the book you will find very revealing information and names involved in power structures that have played a part in very significant happenings in the history of this country. It's not a pretty picture and if you are a patriotic, down to earth American citizen, you will probably find yourself angry and disgusted with what has happened to America and her citizens. And you'll have every right to feel that way.
If you find this book revealing, you should also read Craig Roberts book JFK: The Dead Witnesses. This explores in detail all of the mysterious and unusual deaths that have surrounded those who were connected to the JFK assassination either directly or indirectly.
Last but not least, if you want an explosive account of government cover-ups and conspiracies all the way from World War II germ warfare up to the downing of TWA Flight 800 and everything in-between, Craig Roberts book THE MEDUSA FILE will make your hair stand on end. You would not believe what our government has done over the years; it is absolutely astonishing. And most of the public doesn't know any of it.
All these books are recommended reading for those who want the complete truth and aren't afraid to confront some very scary and disturbing information. In fact, these books should probably be required reading for all Americans so that they can begin to understand how our government sees itself as "above the law".
